Over the past 17 years as a Realtor I have sold homes from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay and everywhere in between. The North Shore offers so much and the various communities have their own character.
WEST VANCOUVER
West Vancouver is located just 10-minutes north over the Lions Gate Bridge
from downtown Vancouver, or mere minutes east from the Horseshoe Bay ferry
terminal.
Here you will find homes and businesses in neighbourhoods nestled between the North Shore Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. This spectacular scenery provides the perfect backdrop for some of the most unique and charming villages in the region, and has inspired the creation of a number of world-class public art pieces.
West Vancouver also offers a variety of activities — stroll the Centennial
Seawalk, relax on Ambleside Beach, rent a boat, and enjoy winter skiing or
summer hiking in Cypress Provincial Park.
West Vancouver separated from the District of North Vancouver in 1912, and
since then, has remained primarily residential. Several neighbourhood business
areas throughout the community serve the needs of area residents. The small town
atmosphere is a result of careful planning, even though West Vancouver has seen
a population growth characteristic of the Greater Vancouver region. West
Vancouver is fortunate to have dedicated residents and staff. We're proud of our
beautiful community and will continue to preserve the characteristics that make
it such a desirable place to live and work.
